What You Sign Up For
One Price. No Surprises at Customs.
Under DDP — Delivered Duty Paid — MASA is responsible for the shipment until it reaches your door: freight, export clearance, import clearance, duties and taxes are all inside the agreed price. You receive your cargo; we handle everything before it.

Who Ships DDP
Built for Importers Who Want One Answer.
DDP fits you if any of these sound familiar:
- You buy from suppliers in China but do not want to manage freight, customs brokers and duty payments yourself
- You are importing for the first time and need the landed cost known before you commit
- You order from several suppliers and want them combined into one shipment under one price
- Your buyer expects goods delivered to their door, not to a port
China to Jordan, Stage by Stage
The Jordan Lane, in Real Numbers.
These are the working durations for the China–Jordan DDP lane through Aqaba. Every shipment is confirmed with its own schedule before loading.
- Pickup & consolidation3–7 days
- Export documents & booking2–4 days
- Sea transit to Aqaba18–28 days, route dependent
- Customs clearance in Jordan1–3 business days, document-ready cargo
- Final delivery1–2 business days after release
The UAE, Saudi Arabia and the USA are served as full DDP markets on the same weekly loading cycle — schedules for these lanes are confirmed per shipment when you request a quote.
Why MASA
DDP Only Works With Origin Control.
A DDP promise is only as good as the forwarder's grip on the origin side. We operate our own warehouse operations in China — your cargo is received, checked and consolidated by our team before it ships, not handed to a chain of strangers.
- Weekly loading out of ChinaCargo moves on a fixed cycle, not when a co-loader happens to fill up.
- Sea and air on the same contractUrgent part by air, the rest by sea — one accountable team either way.
- Customs-first preparationEvery shipment is prepared for clearance before it ships, not after it arrives.
- One counterpartyMASA remains responsible end to end — you deal with us, not with agents.
The Incoterm, Precisely
Delivered Duty Paid Moves Cost and Risk, Not Just Freight.
DDP is one of the Incoterms rules, and the one that puts the most on the seller: cost and risk carried to the named destination, the goods handed over cleared for import, duty and tax paid there. Those rules sit in your sale contract with the supplier; what we sell is that same delivered scope as a service. The named place is part of the term — a country is not a delivery point, a street address is.
Under FOB your supplier's cost and risk end once the goods are on board the vessel at the port of shipment. Under CIF the supplier pays the sea freight to the destination port and buys the minimum cover the term requires, but risk still passes to you on board. Destination handling, clearance, duty, tax and delivery then reach you as separate invoices in your own name. Under DDP they sit inside the price you were quoted.
What DDP does not change is customs itself. The authority still rules on the entry, and the entry is built from what your invoice and packing list say the goods are. What DDP changes is who is exposed when that description is wrong — which is why we ask what the cargo is before we price it, not after.
Reading a DDP Quote
A Quote That Excludes Duty Is Not DDP.
Pricing DDP means quoting a duty nobody has paid yet, against a classification no authority has ruled on yet. A DDP figure is only as firm as what stands behind it: freight, clearance, final delivery and a named importer of record at destination. A quotation that says DDP and then lists duty, tax or destination handling as at cost or to be advised is not carrying those lines.
So compare on the same basis. Ask which lines are inside the price, which delivery address it was built for, and what happens if the cargo is not what was described. An honest DDP price states its limits. These are ours.
- The entry is filed against your registrationSomeone must be named importer of record at destination, and in most shipments that is you: the entry is filed under the authorisation you give us, with the duty inside the agreed price. Where a market or a commodity needs a registration or permit only you can hold, we say so before booking.
- Cargo insurance is coordinated, not includedThe term settles who arranges and pays for carriage and clearance; it does not insure the goods. A forwarder's liability for cargo is limited by the conventions governing the carriage, and that limit is not the value of your goods. Cover for that value is coordinated on request and sits outside the DDP price.
- Changes and mis-described goods are re-quotedA supplier added late, a larger volume or a delivery address moved after booking changes the cost base the price was built on. Duty is priced against what you tell us the cargo is, so goods that differ from the description are re-costed, and a mis-description can bring a penalty or a hold.
- Unloading at your address is yoursThe goods are delivered ready for unloading on the arriving vehicle. Labour or equipment at your site is arranged on request and priced separately, so tell us at booking what the address can take.
- The price does not buy the calendarAn inspection, a congested terminal or a public holiday moves dates, and we tell you as soon as we know. Schedules are confirmed per shipment before loading, and storage or demurrage that a hold creates is billed as it is incurred.
Frequently Asked Questions.
What does DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) actually include?
Everything between your supplier's door and yours sits inside the one figure: collection in China, international freight, export clearance, import clearance at destination, the duties and the import taxes or fees due in that country, and final delivery. The price is built against the cargo, the volume and the delivery address you give us at booking, and anything outside it is listed separately rather than left to be discovered on an invoice.
Is DDP more expensive than FOB?
Not necessarily — it is a different number, not automatically a bigger one. An FOB price stops once the goods are on board at the port of shipment; destination handling, clearance, duty, tax and the final truck reach you afterwards as separate invoices in your own name. A DDP price carries those lines inside it. Compare a DDP figure against an FOB figure plus everything you will still be billed, not against the FOB figure alone.
Who handles customs on a DDP shipment?
Clearance is part of the shipment, not a job you arrange separately: import clearance at destination is handled inside your DDP contract, filed by us or by a licensed broker in that country under our instruction and paid by us. The Chinese export declaration is filed by your supplier or by a licensed agent in China — no foreign buyer can file one in its own name — and we confirm which before quoting. Where a destination needs a registration or licence only you can hold, we tell you before booking.
What is not included in a DDP price?
Cargo insurance, which we coordinate on request and which sits outside the DDP figure. Unloading at your address, which is arranged on request and priced separately. Changes after the price is agreed — a supplier added, a larger volume, a delivery address moved — are re-quoted rather than absorbed. Storage that runs because delivery cannot be accepted is billed as incurred. If you are registered for sales tax, tell us at booking, because recovering import tax depends on the customs document being in your name.
How long does DDP shipping from China to Jordan take?
On the China–Jordan lane through Aqaba: pickup and consolidation 3–7 days, export documents and booking 2–4 days, sea transit 18–28 days route dependent, customs clearance 1–3 business days for document-ready cargo, and final delivery 1–2 business days after release. Those figures describe transit, not a guaranteed arrival date. Loading leaves China weekly, by sea and by air — weekly is how often shipments leave, not how long they take.
Which countries do you ship DDP to from China?
Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the USA — four full door-to-door markets, none of them a reduced version of the others. Other destination countries are available on request. The stage figures we publish are for the China–Jordan lane; schedules for the other three are confirmed per shipment when we quote, because they depend on the routing and the delivery address.
What do you need from me to price a DDP shipment?
The delivery address rather than just the country, because DDP is priced to a named place. A description of what the goods actually are, since duty is priced against it. The weight or volume, and your target dates. If the order is coming from several suppliers, tell us how many. Send those through the quote form and we typically respond within one business day.
