What to Send So the Quotation Comes Back Usable.

A freight rate is not a single number. It is built from a route, a mode, and both the weight and the volume of the cargo, so the same shipment can be priced several ways depending on what is known about it. The details below are what has to be in front of the team before a rate can be built. Sending them the first time removes a round trip.

  • Where the cargo starts
  • Where the price should stop
  • What the cargo actually is
  • Pieces, dimensions and gross weight
  • The term you bought on
  • Ready and required dates

Most of that already sits in one document. A supplier's packing list carries the description, the carton count, the measurements and the weights in the form a carrier reads them, so forward it as it stands. If you are buying from more than one factory, list each collection point, because every pickup is arranged and costed on its own. The quote form takes the route, the cargo and the weight; put everything else in the message box.

Which Channel Suits Which Question.

The channels are not interchangeable. WhatsApp suits a short question — whether a route is served, whether cargo can be collected from a given city, what a document is for. The quote form suits a request with real detail behind it, in one place rather than spread across a thread.

Email is the channel for documents. Packing lists, commercial invoices, supplier quotations and photographs of the cargo travel better as attachments and stay attached to the file. The landline is for what is easier spoken than written, such as a question about a charge.

Frequently Asked Questions.

What do you need before you can quote any shipment?

The route, what the cargo is, and what it measures and weighs — the checklist above sets out each item and why the quotation depends on it. Send what you have rather than holding the enquiry until the list is complete; we would rather come back with one question than have you wait on a supplier. If any part of the consignment may be classified as dangerous goods, say so in the first message and attach the safety data sheet, because acceptance is decided on the product.

How quickly will you reply to a quote request?

We typically respond within one business day. A request that arrives with the route, the cargo description and the weights already in it usually needs fewer exchanges; one missing those details takes an exchange first, which is the round trip this page is trying to remove. Where a rate depends on a carrier's own quotation, that answer takes as long as the carrier takes. Requests sent on Friday, when the office is closed, are picked up when the week reopens.

Do you charge for a quotation?

No. Requesting a quotation costs nothing. A quotation is an offer, not a booking: you receive a price and a routing proposal, and you decide whether to proceed. Each quotation states what it covers, and anything outside it is listed separately rather than left to be discovered on an invoice, so you can compare it against another forwarder's on the same basis. Freight rates move with space and equipment, so a price taken up later is re-confirmed before the cargo is booked.

Can you quote door to door, or only port to port?

Both. The scope is set by where you want the price to start and stop — supplier pickup to your door, or terminal to terminal. A door-to-door price needs more from you, because customs, duty, tax and delivery sit inside one figure: the commercial value, the classification and a reachable delivery address. It is filed against a named importer of record at destination; where a permit only you can hold is needed, we say so before booking. What a delivered price includes is set out on our DDP page.

What are your working hours?

The Amman office is open Saturday to Thursday, 08:30 to 17:00 Amman time (GMT+3), and closed on Friday. The quote form, WhatsApp and email all accept messages at any hour, and they are read when the office next opens. For a shipment already moving, WhatsApp is the channel our customer service team works from during office hours, so a message about live cargo is best sent there rather than through the quote form.
