How We Are Set Up
One Contract, and the Team That Answers for It.
MASA Logistics is a freight forwarder. We do not own the ships or the aircraft — we contract for space on them in our own name and stay responsible for the file that moves your cargo. That is different from a broker who books space and steps back, and it decides who answers when something moves. Freight, customs clearance and warehousing are one company's work here rather than several suppliers' work.
What that means commercially is that one company is answerable for the whole movement rather than for one leg of it. Freight, clearance and delivery sit on a single contract, are invoiced together, and are handled by the same office, so when a schedule moves or a plan has to change there is no gap between two providers for the problem to fall into. Who holds your file day to day, and who you call when it moves, is set out on our network page.
Registration is checkable, so here are the numbers. MASA is recorded with the Companies Control Department under No. 73052, the Amman Chamber of Commerce under No. 254772, the Greater Amman Municipality under No. 14330, the Jordan Maritime Commission under No. 311-2026, and the Jordanian Logistics Association under No. 290 — which is also our freight forwarding license number. Every one of those can be checked with the body that issued it, which is the reason for publishing the numbers rather than describing them.

What does a freight forwarder do?
A freight forwarder arranges the movement of your cargo and the paperwork that goes with it: booking space with carriers, preparing and checking documents, handling customs formalities, and coordinating collection and delivery at each end. MASA is engaged by you rather than by a carrier, and we hold the contract for the whole movement — so the company that quotes the shipment is the company that answers for it. One contract, one timeline, one accountable team.
Where is MASA Logistics based, and which markets does it serve?
MASA Logistics is a Jordanian company. The head office is in Amman, port operations are in Aqaba, and an office in China sits on the origin side of our busiest lane. Cargo is forwarded inbound from origins worldwide, and we also move Jordanian exports to destinations worldwide, by sea, by air and by land. Door-to-door delivered-duty-paid shipping runs from China to Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the United States, with other destination countries on request.
How do I choose a freight forwarder in Jordan?
Check three things before you compare prices. Whether the company is registered and licensed in its own name, and publishes the numbers. Whether freight and customs sit inside the same company, because the most common cause of clearance delay is documents that disagree with each other, and that is caught early only if one team owned the file at origin. And whether the quotation totals what it costs to land the goods, or only what it costs to move them.
Does MASA handle customs clearance in-house, or through a separate broker?
Freight and customs clearance sit inside the same contract, so you do not have to appoint and manage a separate broker alongside your forwarder. Clearance into Jordan is handled in-house by our own team, and it is prepared before the cargo ships rather than after it lands. At origin, the export declaration on FOB and CIF purchases is filed by your supplier's declarant, and we check it and the documents behind it before the cargo moves. What is the difference between a freight forwarder and a shipping agent?
A shipping agent acts for the carrier: it represents the line or the vessel in port, handles the manifest, and owes its duty to that carrier. A freight forwarder is engaged by the cargo owner and acts in the cargo's interest — choosing the route, the mode and the carrier, holding the documents and answering for the file. MASA contracts for the whole movement rather than one leg of it, so your counterparty does not change between stages. Liability for the goods themselves follows the conventions that apply to each leg.
