What the Registrations Mean
What a Licensed Freight Forwarder Actually Is.
A forwarder takes responsibility for cargo it does not own. The first thing worth establishing about one is that it is a registered company that can be found, invoiced and held to a contract. The registration numbers published on this page are what lets you verify that with the issuing bodies, and each of them does a different job.
The Companies Control Department entry is the company's record with the national registrar — the registration a bank, a customs authority or a counterparty checks to confirm the entity behind the name exists on it. The Amman Chamber of Commerce number is the company's chamber registration in the capital. The Greater Amman Municipality number is the municipal licence for the activity carried on at the head office.
The Jordan Maritime Commission registration covers our activity as a maritime and shipping services provider in Jordan — the agency and services side of sea freight, not the operation of vessels. The Jordanian Logistics Association line is our membership of the national freight forwarding body, and it carries the number published as our freight forwarding licence number.
None of that makes a shipment arrive sooner. What it changes is who you are dealing with when a shipment needs resolving rather than simply moving. A registered forwarder has a fixed address, an identity a bank and a customs authority both recognise, and registrations it has an interest in keeping in good standing. The company you contract with is the company whose numbers are published here.
Beyond the Certificate Number
What ISO 9001:2015 Commits Us To.
A quality certificate is easy to display and harder to keep. ISO 9001:2015 does not certify prices, transit times or the outcome of any single shipment. What it certifies is that the company runs a documented management system, keeps records of what it does, and is audited by an external certification body against the requirements of the standard, and against its own documented arrangements.
For a freight forwarder that translates into ordinary, checkable habits. The steps a file passes through are defined and recorded rather than carried in one person's head, so a shipment is handled the same way when the usual coordinator is away. Records are kept, which is what makes a query answerable months after the cargo was delivered. When something goes wrong it is recorded, the cause is looked for, and the corrective action is documented rather than remembered.
The certificate does not say logistics and leave it there. The scope written on JO62549A is freight forwarding and logistics services, including sea and land freight agency, import and export operations, cargo handling, warehousing and storage services, commercial brokerage, packaging activities, ship supply services, and related transportation and logistics support services. A certificate covers the scope written on it and nothing else: work outside that scope is run on the same internal procedures but is not what the certificate attests to.

Origin, Destination and the Desk Between
Both Ends of the Jordan Lane, Staffed by One Company.
Two of MASA's offices sit at opposite ends of the same shipment; the third is the desk between them. That structure is what lets a single contract cover a journey which crosses two customs authorities. China is our flagship consolidation route rather than our only origin — cargo from other origins consolidates at MASA's own warehouse facilities.
Amman holds the file: the commercial terms, the documents, the customs preparation and the people you speak to. Aqaba is where our operations run at the port, worked by our own staff rather than a subcontracted name. In China, cargo is received, checked and consolidated against the sailing it is booked on. Three functions inside one company, rather than three sales branches sharing a logo.
Into Jordan, owning both ends changes what happens when a detail is wrong. The weights, the piece count and the marks that a customs entry is built from are recorded by our own people at origin, and the supplier's description and values are checked against what the cargo is before either end works from them. When the two disagree, the discrepancy is raised with you at origin and settled before the cargo moves, rather than sent to a third party to explain while a container sits at the border.
Into markets served through agents, the far end is worked by an agent MASA selects for that lane, contracted to us and instructed by us. The contract you signed does not change, and neither does who answers for the movement. It is a different arrangement from the Jordan lane, and we describe it as such.

Is MASA Logistics a licensed freight forwarder in Jordan?
Yes. Five registrations are published on this page, each held with a different Jordanian body that maintains its own record, and the freight forwarding licence number is the one carried by our Jordanian Logistics Association membership. MASA Logistics is also certified to ISO 9001:2015 under certificate JO62549A. The numbers are published rather than merely claimed, so they can be put to the issuing bodies — and so you can ask any forwarder you are comparing us with for the same list.
What does ISO 9001 certification mean for a freight forwarder?
It is a statement about process, not outcome. No quality standard commits a carrier, a port or a customs authority to a date, and ISO 9001:2015 does not claim to. What it does commit us to is a management system that is documented, recorded and audited by an external certification body against the requirements of the standard — and one kept by surveillance audit and periodic recertification rather than granted once and displayed forever.
Where is MASA Logistics located?
The head office is in Amman, Jordan. Port operations for the Jordan lane run from Aqaba, and warehouse operations run from China — those three are the offices MASA staffs itself, and other markets are worked by agents we select and instruct for the lane. Do you handle customs clearance and delivery in Jordan, or only the international shipping?
Both ends sit under one contract with MASA. Into Jordan the work is ours: cargo is received, checked and consolidated at our own warehouse operations in China, our own team handles the port stage at Aqaba, and the customs entry is prepared by the team in Amman. The declaration is a legal statement made in the importer's name; we prepare it and stay on the file until release. Outside Jordan, how the far end is staffed is set out on our network page.
Who is accountable if something goes wrong with my shipment?
MASA is your counterparty — you deal with us, not with whoever we booked. That is the practical reason the registrations are published: the company on your contract has a fixed address and a national record. Legal responsibility for loss of or damage to the cargo itself follows your contract and the liability terms of the carriage it happened on, which is why we coordinate cargo insurance on request. What we cannot promise is an outcome decided by a carrier, a port or a customs authority.
